This is a book review on The Maze Runner by James Dashner published in 2009. This book is based around a character named Thomas. He wakes up in a cold metal box and is greeted to a place named “Glade” that is surrounded by massive walls, or a maze. The only thing he can remember is his name. Your only goal in Glade is to survive and try to escape the maze. That would be easy, except everyone is a teen. But, there are terrifying monsters that come out in the maze at night, Grievers. From getting stung and having to go through The Changing or getting killed, they really are something to Grieve. Thomas needs to get out of Glade before something happens to him. On a scale, I would give this book a full 10/10. This book was very well written and fast paced. This book has very intriguing views on different things. This is one of an ongoing series, but the next book is very intense. |
