On December 18, Student Council held a movie night for students in the evening. The movie, ”Home Alone” was shown to approximately 85 students dressed in their pajamas, eating popcorn and drinking hot chocolate.
On Wednesday, December 18 and Thursday, December 19, students participated in a school wide holiday celebration with residents of the Lutheran Home. Prior to the event, students held a “pajama day” to raise money for gifts. Students stayed after school to wrap presents. Students also made holiday ornaments, origami Christmas flowers in Mrs. Smith’s math class, poems in Miss Ehrensberger’s English class, Christmas cards in Mrs. Rich’s computer classes and 5 trays of cookies in Mr. Lehman’s FCS class. Twelve students delivered gifts to the twelve patients on their list, and 32 students went the next day for caroling. Thanks to Mrs. Feikls, Mrs. Alexander and Miss Ehrensberger and all of the teachers and students involved for restarting this great tradition. From MS School Board Report The Kane Area Middle School Accelerated Reader winners for the month of December have been chosen. Each winner is holding a basket of school supplies, snacks, and books.
