Beautiful Creatures Novel by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl It is the first book in the Caster Chronicles series. The book was published on December 1, 2009, by Little, Brown, and Company. Lena, a caster, has just moved in with her uncle, the owner of the Ravenwood Manor. The manor is known as haunted in Ethan's little town. Everything has to be perfect there and he can't wait to get out. Having both lost one of their parents, Lena father and Ethan his mother. The locket brought them together, but will it be the thing to take them apart? The story plot was extremely good. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed The Fifth Wave. By Satene Banks
A round of applause for Marley Rostan who completed the Genre Challenge for the second (!) time in one year. This is a first time a student has done the challenge twice within the same school year. Marley read a total 12 books (that’s an average of two books a month!) from various genres and scored above a 70% on all twelve AR quizzes. Marley is not only an inspiration, but she is highly motivated and a true book lover. We are beyond proud of you, Marley! Let’s see if someone else answers your challenge! On Friday, February 14, Student Council held a “Minute to Win It” assembly. There students and faculty competed against one another in hilarious events that were both challenging, and entertaining!
The final scores came down to 6th and 7th grade tied for first, followed by faculty in 2nd and 8th grade in 3rd. Student Council would like to thank everyone who participated and if you have any suggestion for future events to leave a slip in the student council box! Thank you! Come check out the newest books in the library!
