Poem by Allenah McGuire Dear Grown-ups
You may think we are mess ups Unfit for society We just want to have a variety We just want to become someone Someone who is human Someone that isnt singled out for whom they want to be We may be low on the society tree But we are still here We who you don't hear We are just trying to reach out We arent being gay for clout We are who we are We don't care if you raise the bar We just want your assistance Though you show resistance We will show our pride Trying to get your acceptance So what if I marry a bride I do not need a man Telling me who to be Telling me I should tan No, I enjoy being a ginger vampire We may not be apart of your empire But we just want to be accepted into your society We don't need the extra anxiety We just need parental love and support We don't need you to cut us short We just need you So please gather your crew And help our generation join the others With our sisters and brothers We can become united again So please grown ups Comments are closed.
