The Kane Middle School Starbooks took first place at the Reading Competition held at Fretz Middle School on November 29th. Nine middle school teams competed in the competition. Coudersport took 2nd and third place went to Port Alleghany. The team of 14 read from a list of 30 books with each kid reading at least three books on the list. The top reader for the team and a team captain, Satene Banks, read 8 of the 30 books followed by Devon Cornelius who read 7 of the 30 books, and Nate Griswold who read 6 of the 30 books.
