By: Juliana Carnahan-Curcio This year Student Council has done it again! This year's dance consisted of spooky decorations, latest hit music, and tasty snacks! These satisfyingly spooky treats and rocking tunes attracted many cool costumes! There were anime characters, horror movie icons, and even people dressed up as social media! But as always, there were three costumes that really made the teacher's jaws drop! The costume contest winners of this year were Jarred Fryzlewicz , Harley Morris, and Brooke Lehman. I had also received various comments about the dance from various students. Josh Swanson (8th grade) said that the dance was interesting, but they could improve by adding tables in the cafeteria. Breana Ewart (8th grade) said that the dance could have been better overall. Last but not least, Jenny Crowley said that the dance was fun and more people should dance. she also said that everyone seems afraid to dance, maybe its because of the freaky costumes! Other than students, I asked several chaperones on their personal opinions of the dance. Our Principal, Mr. Stanko, said that the dance was great! He liked the idea of having the dance from 5-7. He said that this gives students opportunities to do things after the dance is over. Mrs. McCloskey,US History 1 teacher, said that the dance had a great turnout and that everyone was having fun! She also said that the costumes were also great! Mrs. Rook, 6th grade math teacher, said that the dance was frightening, but in a good way! She also said that she was frightened by the girl interviewing her, which made me laugh! I also had a quick chat with Mr. Chamberlain, the head of student council and 7th grade geography teacher. He told me that the student council did very well this year! He said that the dance had a great turnout! He also told me several things he was worried about, with this being the firs dance he had directed. He said that it was stressful, and was worried about not getting enough/getting too much snacks. Overall, I believe that the students and the teachers had enjoyed the dance this year! Hopefully, it will remain this way for years to come! Comments are closed.
