The wind whirled through the day I was sitting at the bay waiting for Claire to finish ballet My gaze wandered over to a little boy Sitting alone he laid down on the blazing hot sand He looked very sad and worried Scurrying over to see him I saw that his shirt was very dirty and a dim orange The current came in closer and closer by the min Hoping he was okay I went to touch his shoulder But, he jerked away I didn’t know why though I could tell he was thirsty Walking over to the closest store I bought him some water I bolted back over to him Handing him the water I heard a whisper, “Thank you” Smiling I walked back to my car And went to get Claire At that moment I was aware I saved him Comments are closed.
